Welcome to the Abergavenny Judo Club Website

Abergavenny Judo club is run by Paul Addis. Paul has been practising judo for over 20 years and is a 1st Dan Black Belt. He is a qualified Club Coach (Level 2) of the British Judo Association and also runs Monmouth Judo club. Paul has instructed multiple students to Black Belt standard as well as medal success at International level.

 

The Club teaches traditional judo skills and the latest competition techniques to both young and old, the energetic and the not so energetic!

 

The club has been established for over 25 years, it was first started by Mr. Terry Edmunds (6th Dan) and subsequently run by Mr. Derek Rose (1st Dan).

 

Next Club Grading will be on Friday 26th February 2010.

 

For anyone interested e.g. Coaches, referees, helpers or parents, a First Aid course is being arranged for Sunday 28 March 2010 at the Greyhound Hotel, Builth Wells. It is a 3 year recognised qualification in Emergency First Aid For Appointed Persons. Approximately a 6 hour course.  Cost £30.00.
